On November 17, 2024, the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc. (SSFI) organized a “Christmas in November” event for 45 children with cancer at SM Seaside City Cebu. The event, led by SSFI President Heart Evangelista-Escudero and other members Kath Pimentel, Maricel Tulfo-Tungol, and Nancy dela Rosa, aimed to provide the children of the Kythe Foundation, a non-profit for young cancer patients, with an opportunity to experience a holiday celebration.

The event featured a shopping experience at the SM Store, where the children were able to select toys, clothing, and other items. Volunteers from the Kythe Foundation assisted the children during the shopping process.

In addition to the shopping, the children participated in arts and crafts, games, and a small program featuring songs and dances. The event aimed to provide both tangible gifts and emotional support.

The Kythe Foundation, which has supported children with cancer and chronic illnesses since 1992, provides psychosocial support, educational resources, and financial aid for children undergoing treatment. The event was part of SSFI’s broader efforts to engage in community outreach programs.

The SSFI, composed of the spouses of current Philippine Senators, has previously participated in various charitable initiatives, including health, education, and environmental projects.
