Manila collects 244 MT of trash after TS Kristine

The Manila Department of Public Services (DPS) has collected 244 metric tons of garbage after Typhoon Kristine hit the city, Mayor Honey Lacuna announced on Sunday. Clean-up efforts focused on the Manila Bay shoreline along Roxas Boulevard, one of the hardest-hit areas.

Evacuees from Del Pan evacuation centers began returning home on Saturday, though some remain at the centers, where the local government continues to provide assistance. City officials are monitoring weather conditions to prepare for potential future typhoons.
