A newcomer in the National Basketball League (NBL) – Pilipinas scene, the Pangasinan Asinderos will gear up for their second season in Governor’s Cup (Reinforced Conference) this year.
Finishing the 2025-2026 NBL season at the fourth seed of Group A with 2-6 win-losss record, the Asinderos gathered a mix of emerging Pangasinense talents and seasoned veterans to bolster their lineup and aims to create a balanced squad with depth across positions to match powerhouse teams in the upcoming season.
Key holdovers Ryan Untalan, Aerin Coquia, Bryan Rosalin, Mark Fabia, Mesha Torres, and Ivan Ventura will suit up for Asinderos to test their mettle over elite teams.
Basketball icon Cris Calaguio will serve as the head coach for Pangasinan alongside recognized basketball advocates Ritchie Abalos, Jun Marzan, and Sonny De Jesus to impart game knowledge and build a cohesive unit that emphasizes defense.
The Pangasinan Asinderos sought to motivate aspiring grassroots players and bring pride to the province through competitive and thrilling basketball.
The Reinforced Conference exact start date is yet to be announced as this season will feature a concoction of local homegrown talents along with imports to elevate the level of national competition.
