Apple is giving mobile gamers a bigger lineup to explore as it launches Indie Games Week with seven titles arriving on the App Store, including No Man’s Sky, Sifu, and Vampire Crawlers.
The rollout signals Apple’s continued push to turn the iPhone and iPad into more serious gaming devices, not just platforms for quick casual play. By bringing larger and more recognizable indie titles to mobile, Apple is giving players access to games that were once more strongly associated with consoles and PCs.
One of the biggest additions is No Man’s Sky, the space exploration game from Hello Games. Developers reportedly spent around three years adapting the title for iPhone and iPad, including redesigning the interface so it works better for touchscreens and mobile play.
Apple is also offering a free trial for No Man’s Sky, allowing players to test the experience before deciding whether to purchase the full game. That could matter for mobile users who want to see first if a large-scale game feels smooth and worth playing on a smaller device.
For gamers, the message is clear: mobile gaming is getting more ambitious. With titles like No Man’s Sky and Sifu entering the App Store, Apple is making another move to prove that premium games do not have to stay locked to consoles, PCs, or handheld gaming devices.
