Malabon City enhances healthcare services with IYCF training

On November 26, the Malabon City Nutrition Office conducted a training session on Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) for healthcare professionals, including nurses, Barangay Health Education Promotion Officers (BHEPO), midwives, and Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS).

The initiative aimed to improve the participants’ knowledge and skills in nutrition and breastfeeding practices, enabling them to better support mothers and children, especially during disasters and emergencies. Dr. Maria Rosanna S. Miciano, City Nutrition Action Officer, led the session, which covered IYCF fundamentals, breastfeeding assessment, proper positioning, and the health benefits for both infants and mothers.
