The Las Piñas City Council, led by Vice Mayor April Aguilar, held its 107th Regular Session on November 11 to address initiatives in welfare, tax relief, and infrastructure. The session reviewed several pressing matters, including a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Naic, Cavite, to support the relocation of informal settler families to improved housing and living conditions.
The Council also examined the 2025 Project Procurement Plan, which proposes ₱443 million in funding for educational programs and early childhood development. Additionally, the Council discussed requests to waive penalties on business and transfer taxes, which the Joint Committees on Appropriations, Ways and Means, and Laws, Rules and Privileges recommended for approval to aid local businesses.
Key projects were approved, including the second phase of the ten-story DFCAMCLP Building and an ordinance to establish a Kasambahay Registry System, promoting the rights and welfare of domestic workers in the city.
