The Department of Trade and Industry in the Cordillera Administrative Region (DTI-CAR) has assured consumers of a stable supply of basic commodities and Noche Buena items throughout the Christmas season.
DTI-CAR Assistant Director Samuel Gallardo stated on Tuesday that the supply of essential goods and holiday products in the region is sufficient to last one to two months, with continuous deliveries ensuring availability. He noted that the region’s major roads remain passable, enabling uninterrupted transport of goods.
“The supply of basic necessities and Noche Buena products are good for one to two months and deliveries are continuous,” Gallardo said.
He also confirmed that the prices of basic necessities and prime commodities remain stable, with most items priced within their suggested retail prices (SRP). The DTI has issued a Noche Buena price guide to help consumers make informed purchases and is conducting regular price monitoring to ensure compliance.
Gallardo emphasized that DTI’s monitoring efforts are not limited to the holiday season but are conducted year-round to maintain market stability and protect consumers from overpricing.
