The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) has announced the availability of more than 2,000 Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs across Central Luzon. The announcement was made during the 29th episode of the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas, hosted by the Philippine Information Agency on Monday.

The programs are offered through over 500 accredited Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs) in the region. Tesda highlighted that these training courses are aligned with industry demands to equip graduates with essential competencies across various sectors. Most programs are available free of charge and include allowances under scholarship schemes, although private TVIs also provide options for individuals to pay for courses.

To accommodate a wide range of learners, the training options include online, face-to-face, and blended learning modalities. Eligible applicants must be at least 18 years old and high school graduates or completers of the Alternative Learning System. For non-high school graduates, Tesda ensures access to technical education through community-based training programs.

Tesda emphasized the importance of flexibility in training delivery, stating that “institution-based training is available for those meeting scholarship requirements, while community-based programs can cater to others.”
