Scheduled power interruptions to affect Metro Manila, four provinces due to Meralco maintenance works

Residents and businesses in Metro Manila and the nearby provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Quezon will experience scheduled power interruptions this week as the Manila Electric Company (Meralco) carries out maintenance works and facility upgrades across several locations.

In Metro Manila, multiple areas are expected to be affected. In Muntinlupa City, portions of Alabang will have no electricity on April 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. due to the installation of electrical facilities. On April 24, parts of Cupang, particularly within Hillsborough Subdivision, will experience outages from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for pole replacement and line reconductoring activities.

In Quezon City, maintenance will disrupt power in Novaliches between 1 p.m. on April 23 and 4:30 a.m. on April 24. Affected areas include portions of Kingspoint and Arty Subdivisions, Sto. Niño GK Village, and roads within Barangays Bagbag, Sauyo, and Talipapa.

In Pasig City, line reconstruction work will cause outages on April 23 between 12:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. in Barangay Ugong. Valle Verde I and II subdivisions, as well as sections of Lanuza Avenue and C-5 Road, are among the areas set to lose power during these hours.

In Bulacan, Meralco will conduct pole replacement and line relocation tied to a road widening project in Meycauayan City. This will result in outages from 11 p.m. on April 21 to 4 a.m. on April 22. Additionally, power will be disrupted in parts of Angat and Norzagaray from late evening of April 24 through early morning of April 25, affecting several barangays including Bitungol, Poblacion, and Matictic.

In Cavite, line reconstruction and pole relocation will impact the cities of General Mariano Alvarez and Silang on April 23, with power interruptions scheduled between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. In Imus, portions of Barangay Alapan II-B will lose electricity on April 24 from 7 a.m. to 12 noon. In Dasmariñas City, areas in Barangay Langkaan will experience brief outages on April 25 from 4 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. to facilitate substation energization.

In Laguna, facility installation will lead to brownouts in San Pedro City from April 24 to 25 between 11:30 p.m. and 3:30 a.m. Meanwhile, parts of San Pablo City, particularly in Barangay San Jose, will experience interruptions from April 24 to 25 between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m. due to infrastructure reconstruction.

In Lucena City, Quezon, facility replacement work will cause a power outage on April 27 between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. along portions of the Lucena Diversion Road, including several subdivisions in Barangay Gulang-Gulang.

Meralco has advised residents and commercial establishments in the affected areas to prepare accordingly for the scheduled service interruptions, which are part of ongoing efforts to improve reliability and support infrastructure upgrades across its service network.
