On October 31, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte announced a PHP10 million aid allocation for nine LGUs in Bicol affected by Tropical Storm Kristine. The aid, approved by the QC Council through Resolution No. SP-9833, designates PHP8 million for seven towns in Camarines Sur and PHP2 million for Iriga City. Additional funds will also go to Albay’s Libon and Guinobatan. This financial assistance, drawn from Quezon City’s Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (LDRRM) Trust Fund, was recommended by the city’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council to provide rapid relief to disaster-impacted communities.
