Makati City extends aid to Mount Kanlaon victims

Makati City has extended financial assistance to Canlaon City, Negros Oriental, in response to the recent volcanic activity of Mt. Kanlaon. Under the leadership of Mayor Abby Binay-Campos, the city government donated P500, 000 to support affected communities.

During a turnover ceremony on November 13, the check was handed to Lourdes Carleen Mercado, Consultant to the Mayor of Canlaon City. Makati DRRM Officer Richie Rodriguez and Ichi Yabut from the city’s International Relations Department were also present at the event.

Mayor Binay-Campos expressed her hope that the assistance would help ease the burdens of affected residents.
