Late Fees Waived for October Renewals – LTO

As a response to the recent devastation caused by Typhoon Kristine, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) has announced that it will waive penalties for the late registration of motor vehicles and motorcycles, as well as for the renewal of driver’s licenses expiring in October.

In a memorandum, LTO Chief Atty. Vigor Mendoza II stated that the waiver of penalties applies to late vehicle registrations with expiration dates in October 2024, as well as to driver’s licenses set to expire between October 21 and 31, 2024.

Mendoza also noted that the waiver of penalties will apply nationwide, as the weather disturbance affected nearly the entire archipelago.
