Gasoline climbs ₱3.50 per liter as diesel, kerosene prices fall

Motorists buying gasoline face higher fuel bills beginning November 3, while diesel and kerosene users receive price reductions.

Several major retailers announced a ₱3.50-per-liter gasoline increase and a ₱1-per-liter diesel rollback. Shell, Seaoil and Petron also announced a ₱1.90-per-liter reduction for kerosene, according to GMA News.

The adjustments at these companies took effect at 6 a.m. Tuesday.

The Department of Energy attributed the changes to international oil-market movements, including developments in the Middle East affecting supply and prices.

The differing adjustments mean consumers will experience the latest price movement unevenly. Gasoline users will pay more at the pump, while businesses and households relying on diesel or kerosene will see some relief.

Retailers announce their own implementation schedules and adjustments, making company-specific advisories the reference for motorists checking local prices.
