URDANETA CITY, Pangasinan — Combined police and anti-narcotics units seized approximately 100 grams of shabu, valued at P408,000, and arrested a former Urdaneta City Hall employee during a buy-bust operation along the bypass road in Barangay Camantiles on December 1.

A report from the Police Regional Office 1’s Drug Enforcement Unit said the arrested individual, Ronnie Rosario, 55, a resident of Barangay Catablan, was an administrative aide II at the Urdaneta City government and is considered a high-value target.

Authorities recovered six heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu, a P500 bill, boodle money, two improvised tooters with shabu residue, a motorcycle, and other items from the suspect.

An onsite inventory and marking of the seized evidence were conducted in the presence of police, media, and barangay officials, with documentation recorded using a body-worn camera and other recording devices.

Rosario was taken to Urdaneta City District Hospital for a medico-legal exam before being brought, along with the confiscated items, to the PNP Forensic Unit for drug testing and laboratory analysis.

Charges for violations of Sections 5, 11, and 12 of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act) are set to be filed against the suspect.
