Davao City govt urges tourism biz owners to register licenses before end of 2024

The Davao City Tourism Operations Office (CTOO) is calling on owners of tourism-related businesses and establishments to renew or register their licenses for the upcoming year. This initiative is crucial for ensuring that these businesses remain eligible for the various marketing support and benefits provided by the CTOO.

The Davao CTOO emphasized the importance of registration or renewal of the City Tourism Certificate for primary and secondary tourism enterprises to avoid complications, such as non-renewal of business permits in 2025.

Primary tourism businesses include hotels, apartelles, resorts, and travel and tour agencies. Secondary enterprises cover businesses in agri-tourism, amusement centers, booking offices, coffee shops, and other tourism-related services.

To facilitate the renewal or registration process, business owners can visit the CTOO’s main office located on the 4th floor of the Davao City Investment and Tourism Building along J. Palma Gil Street or the satellite booth at the Sangguniang Panlungsod.

Additional details, including list of eligible businesses for renewal or registration from January to June 2024, are available on the CTOO’s social media handles. The CTOO encourages all eligible businesses to complete this process promptly to ensure compliance and continued operation in the coming year.
