MANILA – Clark International Airport (CRK) reported on Monday growth in both the passenger volume and flights it catered to in 2024.
The airport served 2.4 million passengers in 2024, a 20 percent increase from 2023’s tally. Most or 65 percent of last year’s figure were international passengers.
Flight operations grew by 29 percent compared to flights in 2023. There were 19,221 flights last year, and more than half or 53 percent of these were international flights.
“These numbers are more than just statistics; they represent the dedication of everyone involved in making CRK a valuable gateway to the Philippines,” Noel Manankil, chief executive officer of operator Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD), said in a statement.
“Our commitment to providing exceptional service to our passengers remains a primary focus while maintaining a close partnership with government stakeholders to ensure regional growth and global connectivity,” he added.
In a news release, the airport said its innovative initiatives, including the implementation of minimum performance specifications and standards (MPSS), have set benchmarks for quality and operational efficiency.
Regular audits conducted by the Airports Council International (ACI), alongside robust passenger feedback systems, ensure that CRK consistently meets global standards and enhances the travel experience, it said.
To recall, CRK won a Routes Asia 2024 award in the Under 5 Million Passengers category early last year.
The award recognizes the organization’s excellence in airport and destination marketing. (PNA)
