The office of Senator Alan Peter Cayetano marked a day of milestones on January 20, 2025 with two initiatives empowering communities in Laguna.
In Biñan, 100 graduates of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority’s Special Training for Employment Program (TESDA-STEP) were honored during a ceremony at the Xavier Technical Training Center.
The graduates, 50 certified in Driving NC II and 50 in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II, expressed their gratitude for the skills training, which has that equipped them for meaningful employment opportunities.
The event was also attended by School Administrator Gertie Quintela and Julius Espinosa, representative of Congresswoman Len Alonte.
On the same day, the senator’s office partnered with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to deliver Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) assistance to 150 beneficiaries in Brgy, Halang, Laguna, many of whom were women.
The initiative, supported by Laguna Governor Ramil Hernandez, Laguna Second District Representative Ruth Hernandez, and DSWD Region 4-A officials, provided capacity-building and essential aid to improve the recipients’ daily lives.
Cayetano’s efforts highlight his commitment to bridging the gap between education and livelihood, ensuring that communities are equipped to contribute to national progress while addressing immediate needs.

Suporta ni cayetano sa kabuhayan at kasanayan sa laguna
Dalawang mahahalagang programa ang dinala ng tanggapan ni Senador Alan Peter Cayetano sa Laguna nitong January 20, 2025.
Sa Biñan, 100 nagsipagtapos mula sa TESDA Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) ang pinarangalan sa isang seremonya sa Xavier Technical Training Center.
Limampu sa mga ito ang nagtapos sa Driving NC II, at 50 rin ang nakatapos sa Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II.
Kasama sina School Administrator Gertie Quintela at Julius Espinosa, na kinatawan ni Representative Len Alonte, ikinagalak ng mga nagsipagtapos ang mga kasanayang kanilang natutunan, na ngayon ay magagamit nila para sa mas maayos na hanapbuhay.
Sa Halang, Laguna naman, nagbigay ng tulong ang tanggapan ni Cayetano, kasama ang Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), sa 150 benepisyaryo ng Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), na karamihan ay mula sa sektor ng kababaihan.
Ang inisyatibong ito ay sinuportahan nina Laguna Governor Ramil Hernandez, Laguna Second District Representative Ruth Hernandez, at mga opisyal ng DSWD Region 4-A.
Layunin ng programa na bigyan ang mga benepisyaryo ng dagdag na kaalaman at suporta para sa kanilang araw-araw na pangangailangan.
Pagpapatunay ang mga programang ito sa patuloy na pagsusumikap ni Cayetano na bigyan ang mga Pilipino ng mas maginhawang buhay sa pamamagitan ng edukasyon at kabuhayan.
