Around 2.39 million voters in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao are casting their ballots Monday in a landmark election that will choose the region’s first regular parliament.
The September 14 polls mark a major political turning point for BARMM, shifting the region further from transition governance toward a fully elected parliamentary setup.
