In anticipation of heavy travel for the Undas holiday, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), led by PMGen. Sidney Hernia, announced that police officers would maintain round-the-clock monitoring from November 1 through the weekend. About 12, 000 officers, supported by the MMDA, LGUs, and barangay officials, have been deployed across Metro Manila, focusing on bus terminals and cemeteries. Hernia conducted inspections on October 31 at Cubao’s Five Star Bus Terminal and the Manila North Cemetery to assure public safety, urging travelers to seek police assistance when needed. The operation is part of efforts to ensure a safe and orderly observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.
