Zamboanga City launches ‘Christmas Carnival’ at Integrated Bus Terminal

By Sam Ramos

The Integrated Bus Terminal (IBT) officially ushered in the holiday season on Friday, November 29, with the grand opening of its Christmas Carnival, a festive park offering amusement and leisure for all ages.

The carnival’s launch coincided with the ceremonial switch-on of Christmas lights and displays across the city, including City Hall and other major landmarks. This year’s theme, “Enchanting Christmas: Christmas in Blooms,” highlights the festive atmosphere with vibrant decorations and illuminated attractions.

The IBT Christmas Carnival features an array of rides such as the Frisbee, Scramble, Tantern Wheel, and Vikings, catering to children aged seven and above. The park aims to provide a joyful experience for families and visitors throughout the holiday season.

In addition to the carnival, the IBT Night Market continues to be a popular attraction, offering a variety of grilled and street foods. Operating for over two years, the night market has become a staple for residents and tourists seeking a lively and flavorful dining experience.

The city’s festive initiatives at IBT reflect its commitment to creating memorable holiday experiences for the community, blending traditional celebrations with modern attractions for everyone to enjoy.
