The city government, under the leadership of Mayor John Dalipe, reaffirmed its commitment to public safety by handing over 20 ADV-160 motorcycles to the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) on Friday, November 29.

The handover ceremony, held at the City Hall grounds, was led by Mayor Dalipe, Majority Leader and District II Congressman Mannix Dalipe, and members of the City Council. The motorcycles, valued at PHP238,000 each and totaling PHP4.76 million, were funded through the City Peace and Order funds.

Mayor Dalipe emphasized that the acquisition of these vehicles aligns with his administration’s goal of enhancing the capabilities and mobility of law enforcement agencies. He expressed confidence that the motorcycles will strengthen the ZCPO’s ability to respond swiftly to incidents, thereby improving public safety and sustaining peace and order in the city.

“These vehicles will boost the efficiency of our police officers, ensuring they can act promptly to address any security concerns in Zamboanga City,” Dalipe said during the event.

City Police Director Col. Kimberly Molitas extended her gratitude to the city government, commending Mayor Dalipe’s administration for its unwavering support in prioritizing the safety and security of the city’s residents.

The provision of these motorcycles is part of the city’s “ongoing efforts to equip law enforcement agencies with the necessary tools to maintain peace and order and respond effectively to the needs of the community.”
