The Zamboanga Chinese Associations have donated 1,000 gift packs to the city government to help spread Christmas cheer to indigent families during the holiday season. The turnover ceremony was held on Tuesday morning, December 17, at Paseo del Mar, facilitated by the City Administrator’s Office.

Mayor John Dalipe expressed gratitude to the Filipino-Chinese community for their consistent support in uplifting the lives of the less fortunate.

“Your generosity brings joy and blessings to our fellow Zamboangueños, especially during this season of giving,” Dalipe said.

Each gift pack includes spaghetti sauce, macaroni pasta, canned goods, and other food items aimed at making Christmas celebrations more meaningful for recipient families.

The donors included several Filipino-Chinese organizations, such as the Philippine Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry South Western Mindanao Chapter, Filipino-Chinese Friendship Association, Philippine Progressive Mason Club Zamboanga Chapter, Filipino Chinese Amity Club Zamboanga Chapter, and the Mindanao Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China in the Philippines.
