Vlogger Rosmar Tan withdraws candidacy for Manila councilor

MANILA – Social media personality and entrepreneur Rosmar Tan on Thursday withdrew her candidacy for a local position in the May 12 elections.

Tan, who is three months pregnant, filed her certificate of withdrawal at the Office of the Election Officer of the Commission on Elections in Manila.

She filed her certificate of candidacy on October 1, 2024 for councilor of Manila’s first district.

Aside from being a social media celebrity, Tan also owns several businesses including restaurants and a salon.

“Sabi ko rin kung mabubuntis ako meaning hindi ako dapat tumakbo and ayan na nga 3 months na kami ng 3rd baby ko (I’ve said that if I got pregnant then that means I should not run, now here it is, I’m three months with my third baby),” she said on social media announcing her withdrawal. (PNA)
