Valenzuela City launches ‘Go Green’ program with EV fleet

Valenzuela City launched its ‘Go Green Valenzuela’ program on December 10, 2024, introducing a fleet of 41 electric vehicles (EVs) to support police operations.

The ceremony, held at Valenzuela City Hall Atrium, marked the deployment of BYD Dolphin Electric Mobility Units in partnership with ACMobility and BYD Cars Philippines. The PHP 75.8 million initiative is the first of its kind in the country, with the vehicles primarily serving the Valenzuela City Police Station.

The EVs, equipped with 150 kW engines, 44.9 kWh batteries, and a range of 405 km, feature rapid charging capabilities. The city will install 22 EV charging stations at key locations, including Valenzuela City Hall, SM City Valenzuela, and various 3S Centers, to support the program.
