The University of Santo Tomas (UST) secured championships in all divisions of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 87 Table Tennis Tournaments, which concluded on November 26 at the Homecourt in Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Parañaque City.
The UST Tiger Paddlers claimed their fifth consecutive men’s division title and 31st overall after defeating the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Eagles. In the women’s division, the UST Lady Paddlers won their 14th title with a victory over the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws.
In the high school division, UST completed undefeated seasons in both the boys’ and girls’ categories. The Junior Tiger Paddlers and Junior Lady Paddlers each won their third consecutive championships, bringing their total to five titles in their respective divisions.
Key players Louie Del Rosario and Angelica Dizon were named Most Valuable Players in the men’s and women’s divisions, respectively. The awards highlight individual performances in a season where UST also credited its coaching staff for its comprehensive training program.
