221 INDIGENTS RECEIVE FREE DENTAL CARE

A total of 221 indigent Dagupeños benefited from free dental services under our city’s health
outreach program. Of these, 120 received tooth cleaning, 52 underwent tooth filling, and 49
had tooth extractions. “We continue to prioritize the health of our people, especially those who
cannot afford basic dental care,” Mayor Belen Fernandez said, underscoring the city’s
commitment to accessible public health services.
She expressed heartfelt gratitude to Retired PBGen Reynaldo Torres of the AFP Chief Dental
Service, the International College of Dentists, and the Pangasinan Dental Association for their
invaluable support. The mayor also thanked the City Health Office, led by Dr. Julita De Venecia,
and the CHO personnel, as well as the dentists headed by Dr. Jude De Vera. “More smiles mean
a healthier Dagupan,” she added.

FREE CLEARANCES FOR PROJECT LINAW MATA

“We are now conducting cardiopulmonary clearance for 50 patients, aged 38 to senior citizens,
who underwent eye screening last year under our Project Linaw Mata,” Mayor Belen Fernandez
said. She personally visited the beneficiaries who are set for surgery in the first week of March,
stressing that the process ensures their safety before the procedure. The services are free,
aimed at giving them a clearer vision, renewed hope, and stronger confidence in themselves
and their families.
The mayor expressed gratitude to Internist Dr. Gina Ang and the team of the Buddhist Tzu Chi
Medical Foundation Philippines, Inc., for their dedicated and compassionate service. She also
thanked the city’s Eye Screening Team and volunteers for helping deliver careful, safe, and
responsible healthcare to Dagupan’s kabaleyan.

DAY CARE WORKERS SIGN CONTRACTS

Mayor Belen Fernandez met with barangay day care workers on February 20 at the City Hall
conference room for a courtesy call and the signing of their contracts. She stressed the vital role
they play in shaping the lives of young learners, emphasizing that strengthening and improving
the condition of day care centers remains a priority of her administration.
Fernandez underscored that providing a safe and conducive learning environment ensures that
children can study without hindrance. She also reminded the workers to continue improving
their performance, noting that teamwork and unity are essential to building a brighter, more
successful future for the city.
