Tinajeros NHS studes learn government employment programs

A total of 686 students from Tinajeros National High School in Malabon participated in an information session on November 7 about the employment opportunities and programs offered by the local government. The session was organized by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO).

Key programs discussed during the session included the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) and the Government Internship Program (GIP). These programs aim to provide work experience and income for students and youth, enhancing their future employment prospects.

MaryJane Murillo from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) provided insights on career planning, advising students on how to select college courses and steps to take toward career success. Additionally, Elenita Lerit and Cleofe Alvendia from the City of Malabon Polytechnic Institute (CMPI) presented information on free courses and training programs available through the local government.

During the event, Mayor Jeannie Sandoval personally addressed the students, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and assuring them that opportunities for success are within reach if they continue working hard.
