Ticket sold in QC wins P57-M MegaLotto jackpot

MANILA – A lone bettor from Metro Manila is starting 2025 on a high note after hitting the PHP57 million jackpot of the MegaLotto 6/45 draw on New Year’s Day.

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), in an advisory Thursday, said the winning ticket purchased in Barangay Santol, Quezon City bore the combination 06-41-29-12-02-15.

The winner has one year to claim the PHP57,030,072.20 prize at the PCSO main office in Mandaluyong City.

Claimants must present the winning ticket and two valid identification cards.

Under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, winnings above PHP10,000 are subject to a 20 percent tax.

Aside from the jackpot winner, 13 players won PHP32,000 each for correctly picking five of the six winning numbers.

A total of 856 bettors will receive PHP1,000 for matching four numbers, while 13,501 players will get PHP30 for hitting three digits.

The 6/45 Mega Lotto is drawn every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

The PCSO urges the public to support its gaming products to raise more revenues for health initiatives, medical services, and other national charities. (PNA)
