Tayug family wins UDO Asia-Pacific Street Dance Championship in Thailand

TAYUG—Distortion Family, a dance crew based in Tayug, Pangasinan, won the championship title at the UDO Asia-Pacific Street Dance Championship 2026 held in Bangkok, Thailand from January 22 to 24.

The group topped the Team Ultimate Advance Category after competing against nine other dance crews in the final round of the competition.

With the victory, Distortion Family qualified for the UDO World Championships scheduled on August 12 to 16, 2026, in Blackpool, Lancashire, England.

Bloc d Begin placed second, followed by Prime Movers Dance Crew in third place. DAGITAB finished fourth, while DanzGen Project ranked fifth.

Distortion Family is composed of Romeo Bustarde II, Boyd M. Paculan, Joshua Pajuelas, Bryan Jet Francia, Dustyn Wayne Fragata, Arnel Quinzon, Victor Michael Bibay, Sherwine Del Mindo, Jerome Rioflorido, Ericson Sabinay, Delbert Tristan Cunanan, John Mark Aquino, Sany Boy Ramirez, John Dred Cardinez, John Raphaelle Nerona, Kristel Pasalo, and Darielyn Joy Tu. The team is coached and choreographed by Mark Kevin Cabinta.

The UDO Asia-Pacific Street Dance Championship is part of the international qualification circuit for the UDO World Championships and draws dance crews from various countries across the region.
