Taguig bags awards on health initiatives

The City government of Taguig has been recognized by the Department of Health-National Capital Region for its outstanding health initiatives. Taguig earned the title of “Immunization Champion” for its successful implementation of the National Immunization Program, making it a benchmark for other local government units.

Additionally, the city received a Certificate of Recognition for achieving 85% of its program target for Category 2 and 3 Animal Bite Cases. It was also commended for implementing the National Safe Motherhood Program and Adolescent Health Development Program and won an award for access to essential medicine in these programs.

Furthermore, Taguig was honored with the Rising Star Award for its Mental Health Program, a Certificate of Commendation for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in Health, and multiple recognitions for newborn screening, among others.
