Tacloban Fire dept conducts safety drill for studes

By David Vera

Tacloban City — The Tacloban Fire Department held a fire drill at ACLC Real Gymnasium on October 25, educating senior high school and college students on emergency procedures. Starting at 9 a.m., the drill aimed to prepare students and faculty for fire-related emergencies, ensuring they understand evacuation routes and safety protocols.

Tacloban, heavily impacted by Typhoon Haiyan in 2013, has since prioritized disaster preparedness. The drill aligns with the city’s ongoing safety initiatives, encouraging a culture of readiness among residents. Fire officers conducted post-drill evaluations to improve future exercises and bolster community safety standards.
