Shear line to bring ‘heavy to intense rains’ over Isabela – PAGASA

MANILA – Isabela province will experience heavy to intense rains due to shear line, according to the 5 a.m. advisory of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Tuesday.

The weather bureau warned that numerous flooding events are likely, especially in urbanized areas, low-lying or near rivers, and landslide is also possible in moderate to highly susceptive areas of the province.

PAGASA said Cagayan and Aurora will also experience moderate to heavy rainfall, and localized flooding is possible in similar areas.

The shear line will also bring scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms in Metro Manila, Quirino, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Rizal, Quezon, and Kalayaan Islands.

The rest of Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region will have cloudy skies with rains due to northeast monsoon or “amihan”.

Ilocos Region will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to “amihan”.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters will prevail over Northern Luzon while the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and moderate seas. (PNA)
