MANILA – The shear line and the northeast monsoon or “amihan” will continue to bring rains over Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Monday.
In its 4 a.m. advisory, the weather bureau said Metro Manila, Mimaropa Calabarzon, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Western Visayas and the provinces of Isabela, Quirino, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, and Bulacan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms.
The northeast monsoon will affect the rest of Luzon, with the rest of Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region experiencing cloudy skies and rain.
These areas may experience possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains, PAGASA said.
Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to amihan.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
The eastern section of Luzon will have moderate to strong winds heading east to northeast, and moderate to rough seas. (PNA)
