The winners of the Bukidnon Provincial government’s ‘2024 Search for the Best Well-Maintained Tourist Attractions’ were announced, recognizing the efforts of local government units in “maintaining and promoting tourism destinations across Bukidnon.” The awards highlighted excellence in various categories, including freshwater tourism, private resorts, cultural and historical sites, and farm tourism.
In the Freshwater Category, Alalum Falls, managed by the LGU of Sumilao, was named the Champion for its pristine condition and natural beauty. CEDAR under the LGU of Impasugong claimed the 1st Runner-Up title, while Dumagongdong Falls of Malaybalay City secured 2nd Runner-Up honors.
In the Private Resort Category, Kavanah Haven Resort of LGU Kitaotao emerged as the Champion, recognized for its exceptional maintenance and guest offerings. Taglucop Strawberry Hills, also from Kitaotao, was awarded 1st Runner-Up, with RR Family Spring Resort of Maramag taking 2nd Runner-Up.
The Cultural, Historical, and Plaza Category saw the Cinchona Forest Reserve under the LGU of Lantapan crowned as the Champion, celebrated for its rich cultural significance and conservation efforts. Panika Tourism Center of Impasugong earned the 1st Runner-Up spot, while Kampo Kasisang of Malaybalay City was named 2nd Runner-Up.
In the Farm Tourism Category, Binahon Agro-Forestry Farm of Lantapan was recognized as the Champion for its sustainable practices and contributions to agricultural education. Mushroom City and Anpa’s Farm, both under the LGU of Malaybalay City, were awarded 1st and 2nd Runner-Up titles, respectively, for their innovative and visitor-friendly approaches to farm tourism.
Winners in each category received cash prizes and trophies as a “testament to their dedication and achievements.” Champions were awarded ₱50,000 and a trophy, 1st Runners-Up received ₱30,000 and a trophy, while 2nd Runners-Up took home ₱20,000 and a trophy.
