Seaports and airports ‘fully operational’ after Typhoon Kristine

All Philippine seaports and airports are now fully operational following disruptions caused by Tropical Storm Kristine, according to Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) General Manager Jay Daniel Santiago. As of October 28, Santiago confirmed that all stranded passengers have been accommodated on vessels, and priority has been given to emergency relief vehicles from agencies such as the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Philippine Navy.

Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime Bautista also reported that all airports are functioning without major damage. With All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day approaching, officials anticipate increased travel activity and have prepared to manage the influx of travelers.
