SB19 is set to make another historic mark for Filipino music as the first homegrown Filipino act to perform at Lollapalooza Chicago, one of the world’s biggest and most recognized music festivals.
The P-pop powerhouse will take the Allianz Stage at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois, on July 31, 2026, with Filipino fans able to catch the landmark performance live through Disney+, Hulu, and Weverse. For a group that began its rise in the local P-pop scene in 2018, the Lollapalooza slot is more than another booking — it is a statement that Filipino pop is no longer waiting outside the global stage.
The performance comes after the release of SB19’s latest album, “Wakas at Simula,” and follows a run of major milestones for the group. They recently wrapped their Simula at Wakas world tour, which included sold-out international stops and made history at home when they became the first Filipino act to headline and sell out two consecutive shows at the Philippine Arena.
SB19’s global push has also gone beyond concerts. Just days before the Lollapalooza milestone, the group became the first Filipino group to throw a ceremonial first pitch at a Major League Baseball game — another symbolic moment placing Filipino talent in spaces rarely reached by local acts.
For Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin, the rise now carries a bigger responsibility. Through 1Z Entertainment, the group has also begun training and developing future performers, signaling that their mission is no longer just to break through for themselves, but to help build the next wave of Filipino talent.
