Thousands flocked to the Duterte’s ancestral house in Bangkal, Davao City yesterday for the family’s gift giving.
The gift giving started at 4 am and those who lined up received gift packs filled with rice, canned goods, cash, and gift checks.
It is estimated that around 40,000 received gifts from the Dutertes.
Former President Rodrigo Duterte and Vice President Sara Duterte were also there to personally greet the people.
The vice president also joined in hosting the games and raffle.
The “Pahalipay sa Taal” is an annual gift giving tradition of the Dutertes.
