Quezon Declares December 23 as Clean-Up Day

By Matthew Go

The local government of Quezon, Isabela, has declared December 23 as ‘Clean-Up Day’ to address waterborne and vector-borne diseases, including malaria, dengue, and leptospirosis.

Under Executive Order No. 41, a town-wide clean-up drive aims to eliminate stagnant water and other environmental risks while raising awareness about cleanliness and mosquito control.

Residents are urged to clean their surroundings, properly dispose of waste, and join local activities. Government offices will be closed, except for those providing essential services.

The initiative highlights the local government’s commitment to safeguarding public health.
