Quezon City, Malabon LGUs join Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte led local government personnel in the 4th Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on November 14. Participants engaged in the “duck, cover, and hold” technique, then safely evacuated government buildings to designated assembly areas within the city compound.

The QC Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis Team conducted an assessment of the affected buildings to evaluate potential risks and necessary responses. The NSED drill aligns with Quezon City’s commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness and ensuring public safety during emergencies.

In Malabon City, the LGU also participated in the 4th Quarter NSED where they conducted the drill across offices, schools, barangays, and homes,

The Malabon Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) led the drill at Malabon Elementary School (MES), where students practiced proper safety measures. The activity reinforced the importance of earthquake preparedness, aiming to equip the community with life-saving knowledge and skills for potential emergencies.
