QC government receives two biz awards

Mayor Joy Belmonte expressed her gratitude after Quezon City received back-to-back honors from the Galing Pook Awards and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) for the city’s outstanding public service initiatives.

On October 25, Quezon City’s Birth Registration Online (QC BRO) program was recognized as one of the 2024 Galing Pook Award winners during a ceremony at Malacañang, attended by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. The program, launched in 2022, has significantly improved the birth registration process for families, benefiting over 59,000 children without any cost to them.

On October 23, Quezon City was also recognized as the Most Business-Friendly City (City Level 1A – HUCs in NCR) by PCCI during the 50th Philippine Business Conference & Expo. This is the second consecutive year the city has received this honor.
