PRO 8 honors fallen PNP officers on All Souls Day

The Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional Office 8 held a tribute for fallen officers on All Souls’ Day at the PRO 8 Heroes Monument. Regional Director PBGEN Jay R. Cumigad led the event, which included a Mass Prayer by Rev. Fr. PMAJ Rey A. Ibañez and a candle-lighting ceremony to honor PNP personnel who died in the line of duty.

Officers from the Regional Reactionary Standby Support Force and various PRO 8 units attended. The event is part of the Filipino observance of All Souls’ Day, a time dedicated to honoring deceased family members and loved ones. For the PNP, the ceremony underscores respect for those who served and sacrificed their lives.

Historically, PNP members face risks in their duty to protect communities. This ceremony not only remembers those lost but also reinforces the commitment of active officers to public service.
