Woman killed in Malasiqui road accident

A 50-year-old woman died after being struck by a van while crossing near a pedestrian lane in front of Talospatang Elementary School in Malasiqui.

Police said the victim was hit by a green van driven by a 45-year-old company driver from Santa Maria. She sustained severe injuries and was brought to the hospital more than 30 minutes later, where she was declared dead on arrival.

The driver was unharmed. Investigation is ongoing.

Six arrested for theft at Calasiao mall

Six individuals were arrested Friday afternoon for alleged theft inside a mall in Ambonao, Calasiao.

A 53-year-old shopper from San Manuel reported her wallet containing ₱5,000 missing around 2 p.m. A CCTV operator spotted the incident, leading to the arrest of one suspect in the parking area and recovery of the wallet. Two unpaid bars of soap worth ₱802 were also seized.

The suspects—three men and three women aged 24 to 57 from Makati, Manila, and Parañaque—are in police custody pending charges.

South Korean fugitive nabbed in Alaminos

A 41-year-old South Korean national wanted for fraud was arrested on Feb. 26 along By-Pass Road in Alaminos City.

The operation involved local police, the Police Regional Office 1, the Bureau of Immigration Fugitive Search Unit, and South Korean authorities. The arrest was based on a Warrant of Deportation issued through INTERPOL.

The suspect is in police custody pending deportation proceedings.

Delivery rider caught with ₱37K worth of shabu

A 40-year-old delivery rider was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Calasiao after police seized 5.52 grams of suspected shabu worth ₱37,536.

Authorities recovered two sachets of the illegal drug, marked and boodle money, a cellphone, and a motorcycle.

He is detained and will face charges under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002

Over ₱80K stolen in Tayug robbery

More than ₱80,000 in cash was taken by two armed men during a robbery at a rented house in Barangay Libertad, Tayug, on March 3.

The suspects declared a hold-up, took cash and personal belongings, and fled. Police are investigating

Two farmers arrested for alleged theft

Two farmers, aged 46 and 30, were arrested for alleged theft inside a residence in Sto. Tomas.

The complainant, a 30-year-old HR officer, saw one suspect inside the house before he fled toward a cornfield with stolen items. Follow-up operations led to the arrest of both suspects.

They are in custody pending theft charges.

Fisherman injured in stabbing at Anda fiesta

A 62-year-old fisherman was stabbed in the chest following a dispute during a barangay fiesta in Anda.

Police said the suspect, 48, allegedly attacked the victim after an argument while dancing at the plaza. He was arrested in a hot pursuit operation, and the bladed weapon was recovered.

The suspect is in custody and will face charges.

Man arrested for cable theft, found with drugs in Manaoag

A 35-year-old man was arrested in Manaoag for allegedly stealing electrical cables and possessing suspected shabu.

Police officials caught the suspect in the act and alerted police. Authorities recovered 0.10 grams of suspected shabu worth ₱680, a glass tooter, a lighter, and two .38 caliber bullets.

He is in custody and faces charges for theft and violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
