HVI nabbed in Urdaneta; P408K shabu seized

URDANETA CITY — A 36-year-old vegetable porter tagged as a high-value individual (HVI) was arrested in a buy-bust operation by the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office through its Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 1.

Seized were about 60 grams of suspected shabu worth P408,000, buy-bust and boodle money, a cellphone, belt bag, pouch, and a bladed weapon.

 

2 arrested in Sta. Maria pot session; guns seized

STA. MARIA — A 42-year-old farmer and a 30-year-old woman were arrested during a raid on an alleged pot session inside a residence.

Police seized dried marijuana leaves and 0.72 grams of suspected shabu worth P4,896, along with drug paraphernalia. Authorities also recovered a .22 magnum revolver, a homemade .22 firearm, a .38 revolver, and ammunition.

PWD man survives near-drowning at Bolo Dam

SAN JACINTO — A 33-year-old hearing-impaired man nearly drowned at Bolo Dam in Barangay Bolo after allegedly falling asleep while swimming.

Friends rescued him and performed CPR before rushing him to the town’s RHU. He was later transferred to the Region I Medical Center Annex in Dagupan City for further observation.

 

4 Baguio residents nabbed in Sison buy-bust

SISON, Pangasinan — Four suspects from Baguio City were arrested in a buy-bust operation that yielded 9.36 grams of suspected shabu worth P63,648.

Operatives, in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 1, also seized boodle money, personal belongings, and an SUV.

Miner dies in San Manuel road crash

SAN MANUEL — A 42-year-old miner died after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing into a concrete fence along San Manuel–San Nicolas Road in Barangay San Bonifacio.

Police said the victim sustained severe head injuries and was declared dead on arrival at the RHU. Investigation showed he was under the influence of alcohol.
