Motorcyclist killed in SUV crash at Rosales intersection
A 48-year-old motorcyclist from Balungao, Pangasinan was killed after being hit by an SUV at an intersection along a provincial road in Barangay Zone II, Rosales. Police said the motorcycle was crossing west to east when it was struck by an SUV driven by a 67-year-old businessman from Gamu, Isabela. The victim was thrown from his motorcycle and died on arrival at a hospital. The SUV driver and his 45-year-old passenger were unhurt. Police are investigating possible liability.
PWD killed after motorcycle hit, run over by car
A person with disability (PWD), Robert Galvan of Dagupan City, was killed after being hit by a motorcycle and later run over by a car while crossing a road in Sta. Barbara. Police said a motorcycle driven by a 32-year-old Sta. Barbara resident struck the victim first. A passing car then hit the victim and fled toward Calasiao. Galvan was declared dead on arrival at a hospital. Police are hunting the hit-and-run driver.
Motorcycle rider hurt in collision with 10-wheeler truck
A 62-year-old motorcycle rider was injured after colliding with a ten-wheeler truck along the national road in Barangay Poblacion, Burgos.
Police said the truck was turning right when the motorcycle attempted to overtake in limited space, striking the truck’s side. The rider was taken to a hospital, while the truck driver and passengers were unharmed. Investigation is ongoing.
Police hunt suspect in Calasiao stabbing
Police are searching for a 33-year-old man suspected of stabbing a vendor in Barangay San Miguel, Calasiao. The victim, Ronald Layog Rojo, was rushed to a hospital and is recovering. The suspect, identified as Mark Rey Bauzon Uy, fled the scene. The motive remains unclear.
Former CVO member arrested in drug bust
Police arrested a former Civilian Volunteer Organization member during a buy-bust operation in Bautista. Authorities seized about one gram of suspected shabu worth P6,800, buy-bust money, and a .22 caliber firearm with ammunition. The 29-year-old suspect is facing drug and firearms charges.
Vulcanizer arrested in San Jacinto
A 38-year-old vulcanizer was arrested after police served a search warrant in Barangay Macayug, San Jacinto. Authorities recovered 10.76 grams of suspected shabu valued at P73,168, along with non-drug items linked to illegal activity. The suspect is in custody as charges are prepared.
