LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – A total of 1,800 youth participants attended the launch of the Police Community Academy (PCA) on November 19 at the Sison Auditorium in the capital town of Lingayen.
The PCA, in alignment with the 7-Point Agenda of Police Brigadier Gen Lou Evangelista, Police Regional Director for Region 1, is a collaborative effort involving schools, universities, and other community stakeholders. The program offers training focused on developing leadership, good citizenship, patriotism, and cooperation through peace-building activities for youth aged 12 to 22.
He also highlighted the importance of community partnerships in ensuring peace and order in Pangasinan. “I believe that building a safer Pangasinan cannot be achieved by the police alone. We need the support of every sector and community, especially our youth. Your energy, determination, and idealism will guide us toward a safer and more prosperous future,” Evangelista added.
The event was attended by Executive Assistant II Ronn Dale Castillo, representing Pangasinan Governor Ramon Guico III, who served as the guest of honor and speaker, alongside PCA Ambassador Ms. Yzabelle Evangelista.
Earlier launches of the same program were held in La Union on August 31, 2024, with Governor Raphaelle Veronica “Raffy” Ortega-David and PCA Ambassador Evangelista in attendance, and in Ilocos Sur on October 12, 2024, with Governor Jeremias Singson and other local officials leading the event.
