Police arrested two suspected drug pushers in a buy-bust operation in Laurel, Batangas province, on Friday, December 20, authorities said.

Anti-narcotics officers from Region 4A apprehended the suspects, identified only as “Madam” and “Jaypee,” at 6:18 p.m. in Barangay Molinete after they allegedly sold shabu (crystal meth) worth PHP 13,000 to an undercover operative.

Seized during the operation were two plastic sachets containing 10 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of PHP 68,000, a Taurus 9mm revolver loaded with five bullets, a mobile phone suspected of containing drug transaction records, and a vehicle believed to have been used in their illegal activities.

The Region 4A police disclosed the operation details on Saturday, Dec. 21, noting that the suspects were identified as street-level drug pushers. Both are currently in police custody and face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and illegal possession of a firearm.
