The Department of Agriculture in its Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) has approved a PHP 495.6-million farm-to-market road in Mulanay, Quezon.

The 15.33-kilometer road will connect the barangays of Bagupaye, Cambuga, Mabini, and San Pedro, benefiting 9,140 residents and 2,299 households. It will also link two sections of the Mulanay-San Francisco national road, improving access to nearby towns.

Travel time to markets is expected to drop to 19 minutes, with transport losses reduced from 2.3% to 1.2%, according to project studies.

Mulanay Mayor Aristotle Aguirre thanked the DA-PRDP and pledged “full support to ensure the project’s success.” DA 4A Regional Executive Director Fidel Lubao commended the local government unit for its complimenting efforts.
