PHLPost gives Christmas season schedule for mails, parcels

MANILA – The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) has advised overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to send their Christmas mails and parcels ahead of time to ensure recipients get them during the holidays.

In a news release on Monday, the PHLPost said it has suggested dates of mailing at post offices for different kinds of mails and parcels.

Holiday-related domestic express mail should be sent on or before Dec. 6 in Metro Manila; Dec. 4 in Luzon; and Nov. 29 in Visayas and Mindanao.

International Express Mail bound abroad is set on Nov. 22.

The deadline for sending domestic parcel in Metro Manila is on Nov 29; on Nov. 22 in Luzon; on Nov. 20 in Visayas and Mindanao.

Meanwhile, air parcel intended overseas must be sent on Nov. 8 to reach their country of destinations in time for Christmas.

The deadline for mailing for domestic ordinary mail is Nov. 29 in Metro Manila; Nov. 22 in Luzon; and Nov. 29 in Visayas and Mindanao.

International ordinary mails are scheduled for mailing on Nov. 18.

“Mail items containing goods, especially with dutiable items, are subject to customs examination and may need additional processing time,” the PHLPost said. (PNA)
