Philippine Coast Guard auxiliary members honored in Bacolod City

The Philippine Coast Guard District Southern Visayas held a promotion ceremony for three members of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) on November 24, 2024, at Sugarland Hotel. AUX CAPT Ramel Uy, AUX CAPT Nenia Yap, and AUX CAPT Xavier Lim were formally promoted during the event.

The ceremony included an oath-taking presided over by senior Coast Guard officials, recognizing the members’ contributions to maritime safety and community service. The PCGA plays a key role in supporting the Philippine Coast Guard’s missions, including search and rescue operations, environmental protection, and public education.

The event highlighted the strong collaboration between the Coast Guard and its auxiliary force in safeguarding the maritime environment in the Southern Visayas.
