PH resto supports gastronomy tourism, offers Halo-Halo promo

MANILA – Mang Inasal, a popular barbecue fastfood chain, has launched a campaign to celebrate local food as a cornerstone of Filipino culture. The “Love the Flavors, Love the Philippines” initiative aligns with the Department of Tourism’s gastronomy tourism efforts.

Mang Inasal President Mike Castro emphasized the importance of food as a cultural connector and expressed gratitude for the restaurant’s role in bringing people together. He noted that Mang Inasal has become a popular choice for tourists seeking authentic Filipino cuisine.

DOT Assistant Secretary Gissela Marie Quisumbing highlighted the significance of gastronomy in promoting Filipino culture and economic development. She emphasized that Filipino food is unique due to its diverse influences and supports local farmers and producers.

To celebrate World Tourism Week, Mang Inasal is offering a halo-halo promo with regular purchases from September 23 to 27. This initiative aims to further promote Filipino cuisine and attract tourists to the Philippines.
